Answer» AMD OVERDRIVE LISTS MY MEMORY AS SINGLE CHANNEL. if I CLICK THE QUESTION MARK AT THE TOP OF PAGE AND THEN THE WORD SINGLE IT EXPLAINS WITH THE MESSAGE"SINGLE =WIDTH OF DRAM INTERFACE IN 64 BIT MODE ; DUAL=WIDTH OF DRAM INTERFACE IN 128 BIT MODE" i COULD REALLY USE AN EXPLANATION OF THIS IF SOMEONE COULD AS I AM RATHER A NOVICE AND CONFUSED. I GUESS I THOUGHT IT WAS 64 AND 32 BIT AND NOW I HAVE ANOTHER SET OF MODES OR IS IT THE SAME BUT JUST STATED DIFFERENTLY? ANY HELP APPRECIATED. THANKS ric5406 System as follows GAMA790X-UD4P PHENOM-X4-9750 Sapphire HD4850 1gb Seagate 500gbHDDX2 WinVista/Win7 dualboot Patriot Viper DDR2-PC2-8500 Nice caps....although you figured out how to turn them off towards the end of your Post.If a single channel is 64-bit then two channels would double it to 128-bit. That's basically all it is saying. Thanks for the answer BC_Programmer, why doesn't it show as dual channel is really what I want to know. I am thinking that I must have something adjusted wrong. And yes Patio I GET lazy and don't like to shift. I hope my questions aren't too basic, but this is my first build and so FAR it has gone well. Most things I can puzzle out on my own but I am unable to use this overdrive program without it crashing so I am sure to be doing something wrong.Yeah...hittin that Shift button is ALOT of work.... |
