Web standards are there for a REASON . . . Opera being "too strict" is a GOOD thing, even though it do not follow the web standards very well (compared to the standards themselves) it does implement them BETTER than many browsers.
Pages that ender incorrectly in (more) standards-compliant browsers are due to lazy web designers, it's not the fault of the browser.

lazy web designers? you meant some i.e. only webpages were because of lazy designers or restrictive designers?!
