Answer» http://apnews.myway.com//article/20080401/D8VPC1I80.html Back in my day, when I walked to school uphill both ways, we respected the teachers, or got our anatomies spanked -- and most of us wanted the teachers or principals to DEAL with it -- we didn't want our parents finding out! Yes, I know, sometimes, teachers and principals abused their power or authority. It's so nice to see the way we do things nowadays is so much better...April fools joke? I have a hard time believing any news done on April 1st. You're right -- I hadn't thought of that... I guess what bothers me is the trend from the last ten years or so -- that more and more of these types of incidents are coming out of the rural areas and (relatively) smaller TOWNS...Yeah I AGREE with that and I really hope this is an April fools joke because the ability of a bunch of 3rd graders coming up with something like this is pretty scary. The scary thing is that it is happening, I would be terrified to be a teacher in a school nowdays, on the news no so long ago a 5th grader died, a bunch of other 5th graders attacked him. Kids are bringing guns to school. I work at a college and we had a student bring a gun to class, thankfully he is not allowed back! The world today is a scary placeYeah so true Lau, I wish sometimes that things were like it used to be in old times, but we can always try to make a small difference I saw that article on Yahoo News too. Are you SAYING the 3rd graders were doing an April fool joke? The purported target is a veteran educator who teaches third-grade students with learning disabilities including attention deficit disorder, delayed development and hyperactivity. There is a nerve in the *censored* that has a direct connection to the brain as demonstrated in the picture. Crazy this wasn't an Aprils fool joke. Picture of bag with items kids were going to use.And because of what?? The teacher told a child to not stand on a chair?? Next time, let the kid fall...get a little introduction to Newtonian physics. What's the old line? "It's not the fall -- it's the sudden stop at the end."The scary PART is when I was in the fiveth grade this didn't happen. Cause I was singled out. |
