Answer» I downloaded the program SpeedFan to find out that my system is running at a cool 100 degrees Celsius/212 degrees Fahrenheit (boiling point for water). Are there are cooling SUPPLIES or anything I can do to bring this temperature down? It melts the furniture I keep it on when I use it so there isn't much choice. Keeping it on my lap isn't really a choice either because, who knows, I may want to have kids one day, might need those guys down there for that.one word. WOAH. 100 degrees Celsius!!! it shouldn't even be ALIVE!! I WOULD definitely GET it taken into a shop and ask for a better cooling solution! Perhaps the fan has died or something? Get it checked! It probably is a fan I'm assuming it is a laptop. Also, just CAUSE its at 100 doesnt mean that it will fail at start up.Yea, I have no idea how it hasn't melted yet. How do I go about getting this thing COLD. I use Power4Gear software to keep this on 25% performance. Need cooling solution. This thing never crashes, though I've only recently gotten the ever-sought-after BSoD. Is there any simple solution? There doesn't seem to be a fan problem because I hear it wizzing around in there. Isn't there another program to see how many RPMs my fans are at?So this is a laptop correct? How old is it? Well speedfan should be giving you a fan speed value? If not try your BIOS under Hardware monitor (could be named different) And see whats going on. Could be a huge buildup of dust on one side of the heatsink, not allowing air to flow through it.The more you use that machine before taking it to a shop the closer you get to ruining it.I bought this laptop a year ago and it is still under the manufacturer warranty. Here are the spex: http://www.notebookreview.com/default.asp?newsID=3462&review=Asus+G2PI would take advantage of the warrenty.
