Solve : ATA & SATA?

Answer»

Can I have both ATA and SATA HARDDISK at the same time for a computer?
For example, let the SATA be the system DRIVE and ATA for storage.Yes. Gee, that was EASY.

Sure you can. You may want to use the SATA drive for the system, since those drives are usually faster than ATA. You can even have IDE drives with SCSI drives together.
My friend told me that it's not good to consuming the bandwidth by occupying all FOUR Primary Master/Slave and Secondary Master/Slave. Is it true?
If that's the case, if I have 2 HDD and 2 CD/DVD drive, what other option do I have?Your friend told you wrong. Many people have 4 IDE devices, no problem, and I have never even heard of it causing a problem.
Actually he didn't MEAN it will cause any problem, just badnwidth wise, it's not advisable.
Comparing 2 IDE device in one channel with 1 IDE device in one channel, would the latter performs better?
