Cleaning the PC should help, if not then a new GPU may be the only solution. 85-90 is too high, most cards can run up to about 80 but any higher is bad news, especially for an older card. 4 years is pretty old, which is why I think it may be going south.w0000h artifacting! Do as Calum suggested, get some air-in-a-can and clean the videocard. You might want to get a new HEATSINK + FAN and some new (good!) THERMAL paste as well to prolong its lifespan.
