Answer» Hi,
I am having a bit of a problem with my audio on my computer, until recently it was fine and now I can only hear audio from 1 channel, the left - nothing at all COMING from the right. I have checked this also with my headphones to SEE if it was just my speakers going BAD but the headphones also only have audio coming from the left channel.
I am using the audio out RCA on the rear of the computer with no SPDIF connection. Maybe the connection from the motherboard is on its way out but I would apprieciate any suggestions from yourselves on diagnosing this problem.
I will be checking every day so PLEASE help me if you can
Many thanks in advance. AmyDid you check your VOLUME Control, Balance in mid-range? It might be toggled on right channel only.I have checked the balances and all are OK. Still no sound from the right... Do you have a Soundcard installed? If yes, then look up to the Control panel for the installed card. If not, then ignore the suggestion. How about the Speaker Volume for both speakers? On Control Panel, Sounds and Audio Devices, Speaker Volumes... Left, Right.?no sound card installed just onboard audio from motherboard. I have checked the audio channel sends and all are up so vol should be heard from both both that right channel does not work at all...
Thanks for your suggestions so far Quote On Control Panel, Sounds and Audio Devices, Speaker Volumes... Left, Right.? Did it work before? Then the only thing I can think of is the connections or the hardware itself.Yeah it worked before and now only the left channel works, guessing that my motherboard has a problem....What has changed with the computer since the last time it worked correctly?
Have you tried to re-install the driver for the soundcard?
