I've just got a laptop (dell Insperon 6400, 2ghz, running XP home) and I'm trying to find out how to record AUDIO from a playing dvd/cd.
I've tried a few free audio recorders (like Audio Mid) from the internet and on my work pc, they have input OPTIONS that let you record whatever the soundcard plays (like "What U Hear" options), but on my laptop there are only Line In and Microphone options.
Is there any WAY of changing these options? I have a feeling I MIGHT need a DIFFERENT driver for the soundcard.Well there is only one driver, so that's no solution. Ditto for the jacks - you got what you got. As for removing the audio from a DVD you need special software. CD's can be converted to MP#'s with WMP. What exactly ARE you trying to do?
