Type - control userpasswords2 - and click OK. Select the Users tab. Uncheck the "Users must enter a USER NAME and password to use this computer." Click OK. When the system prompts you, enter a username and password for users who automatically log on, and click OK. That could still very well stop at the title screen, just that it wont REQUIRE a password.
