Solve : averatec 5100 laptop will not turn on?

Answer»

Hi everyone my laptop will not power on at all. no lights turn on or blink. I know its not the cord and i have tried it with and without the battery. Any ideas? I have an idea. You need to post a LOT more information. See below.

All we know is that you have a laptop.Well, I couldn't find much information concerning your laptop but have you checked the troubleshooting part in your manual that came with the laptop?

Sometimes, if the battery dies in a laptop it won't turn on anymore. So you might have to buy a new battery but lets not go to that conclusion yet.

If you don't have your manual anymore you can view it at the link below:

Also, a little more information would help like, when did this happen? Did it randomly kick out and give an error message or just not boot up one day? Do you keep it plugged into a surge protector or anything to protect the laptop from a power surge? Any information you think will possibly help, post it because the more info the faster your problem is solved.

-Mikehmm GX1_Man a lot more like what? My title stats the laptop type and the BODY states the problem. I mean I am not an expert so maybe you can be more specific as to what more I need to say besides the type of laptop and the problem.

well the operating system is xp and nope no prior problems.Quote

Even if a site isn't about your laptop, some of the information COULD apply to you though.Another good idea would be to look in the manual that came with the Laptop, and see what it says in the troubleshooting section. If you don't have a manual for your laptop there is a link to one in my original RESPONSE.
