Answer» So i just got done with my new build and after installing everything i notice that the temperature reading on my CPU is 213 DEGREES C! now considering that my computer is cold (just got back from work) I was thinking if there is anyway to configure the sensor so i get some kind of realistic value or is my temp sensor shot? It is running cool from what i can tell. It isn't shutting down. all my fans are going. I double CHECKED that the heat SINK was FIRMLY seated to the CPU. ASUS P5W DH deluxe Mobo intel core 2 duo E6600 sapphire x1950pro 512MB ddr3 2 GB g.skill ddr28raidmax smilodon case x.cilo 500W goodpower PSU how are you checking your cpu temp? are you using everest?I'm using the utility that came with my asus motherboardTry Everest And SpeedFan. Obviously that's an incorrect reading otherwise you would have had the China Syndrome on your hands...
