Answer» currently my DOS is sitting at
C:\>
how can i change it so its
C:\ WINDOWS
Sorry if this is ridiculously simplesorry...
i think it MIGHT have to look like
1: C:\ WINDOWS
TYPE cd\windows and hit Enter...
CD is the change directory command.it says: the command is not recognised type help for a list of supported commands
i typed:
cd\windowsanyone?Type dir /P and hit Enter...this will show you a list of current directorys....spacebar moves the page down one line at a time... Does it list a Windows directory ? ?
By the WAY what OS is this ? ?xp
i just did that and it came BACK with:
directory of C:\p
an error occured during directory enumeration
just to let you know... ive got a recovery disk in my machine cos im trying to fix my compAt the C: prompt type dir /p and hit Enter. There is a space between dir and the /... If it is showing no directories you will definitely need that restore CD. What happened prior to this ? ?or try with this: C:\>CD WINDOWS
there is a space between CD and WINDOWS.
regards, chinnahI,
