Solve : Battery help with a Dell Insprion B130?

I recently had to replace our dell battery and the notebook will not allow me to run on the battery alone.

My battery light shows a slow green blink which means the battery is fully charged. The computer detects the battery also and shows a fully charged battery, but if I UNPLUG the AC unit the computer shuts down. Only way to run the notebook now is to use the AC charge....what am I missing here?

If it's a Dell RETURN it for a replacement.it's a generic which was much cheaper then the dell.

do you think it's the battery though? I did the f2 setup when the computer boots and it SAYS the battery is fine and it's fully charged and everything ACCORDING to the computer. I'm not getting the flashing orange or red light either like before when the battery went dead.

Sure sounds likea bad battery, even if it's generic, it should have a warranty on it.
