Solve : Best Track-Ball mouse?

Answer»

Hello does anybody know what the best track-ball mouse on the market is?

Before you think i'm dumb for not just going optical, my reason is: I am a serious gamer and i move my hand too close to the mousepad that opticals pick up movement when i do not want them to, even with my friend's MX510.

My current ball mouse gives me perfect response, except when moving accross  the pad at VERY high speeds. I think it is time to upgrade, and i would like to check out the best track-ball MICE on the market to see if it is an improvement.

Shape wise, i like them SLIMMER than most. But i am definately willing to take anything i can get, as i bet that high-end track-ball mice are few and FAR between these DAYS. I have a lot of extra cash so money isnt a biggie.

ANY help would be GREATLY appreciated. thanks a lot!!Well, you seem to like your current mouse... I'm sure that the manufacturer of that mouse has come out with an upgraded version of your same model... What kind do you have now?

http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/products/categories/US/EN,crid=2133&categoryid=412Been using Logitech trackballs for many years. Wouldn't have anything else.I have been using a Logitech M-S48a, which is probably one that came with one of my dads  old computers from the late 90's.

just to clarify, when i said trackball i didnt mean these at the bottom http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/products/productlist/US/ENcrid=2141
but i did mean this http://www.ixbt.com/peripheral/cheapmouses/p2/m-s48a-1.jpg

i couldnt find any non-cordless ball mice at the logitech website, except for the kids ones =\ i dont really trust cordless. My friends have had bad experiences with interference.

If worst comes to worst i will just continue to use my current one (the one in the 2nd link above), but i really would just like to know if my desired mouse even EXISTS. thanks a lot for the help so far though, its better than i have done.
