Answer» hi all today i decided to fix my USB port. i uplugged the wrong connectors. instead i unplugged the control cables. i struggled to get tem BACK in on the motherboard spikes. i needed to test the right spikes for the power sw cable so in had to test every two spikes. i switched the pc on and off several times untill i GOT to the right place for the cable. now the pc doesnt want to BOOT into windows. i checked my bios settings..my drive is undetected. all cables are INTACT...did my drive fail because i switched the pc on and off several times??? am i screwed??? Sounds like the front panel headers.so you didn't have a pin layout guide to go off, you just 'guessed' what pairs did what by trying a pair of spikes, rebooting and retrying?
