Answer» I have a laptop, and while transfering mysic to my mp3 player it restarted by itself. I unhooked the mp3 player, and now my computer WONT START. I accessed the bios (which is the only thing that it lets me do now) and the hardrive name changed. It used to say Toshiba and a number, it says "[email protected]!#" or something similar. Do you KNOW by any chance what could be the problem or how can I fix it?? Thanks for all your helpIt sounds like that HDD has gotten corrupted from not PROPERLY stopping in the middle of a file transfer... Depending on your OS and you're system specs which are not listed here you need to boot from either a floppy and or CD and run chkdsk /r... Let it FINISH completely before trying anything else. Otherwise you are looking at some file system recovery software (not cheap) and or a complete rebuild/repair of the OS. patio.
