nothing. bad harddrives happen.I don't understand when you say " it's not physical damage so the drive won't need to be returned"....
WESTERN Digital should be replacing the drive immediately.
They have a standard 2 year WARRANTY on their DRIVES and should be replacing it with no problem.
If they say different let us know because this is not standard policy.
