Solve : Bios Help!?

Answer»

I am building a computer off newegg and have a problem.

Whenever I try booing up to get to Bios I get the stupid 1 long 2 short beep thing.

Which means I have a graphics card problem. I have tried taking it out and putting it back in taking the second one out. Still no idea whats wrong.

I have a Biostar 7300 geforce series 512mb graphics card.

This is my first build BTW and after I finsih posting i will look for mistakes in the CASE...

EDIT: looks fine and DANDY to me... I see no problem at all. Hookups and cords i mean why not just get the thing to post and get her to boot (without adding the vid card yet*)... It should be defaulting to any onboard video if its brand new...then go back after its up and running and install the 7300.........You mean while its still on plug it in?

It doesn't look like my motherboard has a built in video card or plug so Im kinda screwed.snapplekid13 ........... Quote

No !........ No ! .......... Don't even consider plugging in or unplugging a card while it is still powered up.

I know THATS why I was asking them wy they thought of that.

Do you have a clue on what to do?Is this a new graphics card ? ?
Even so i've seen them fail out of the box.
Do you have another card you can try ? ?

Also did you remember to use the MBoard standoffs when INSTALLING the board into the case ? ?
