Solve : Bios shuts down pc? |
|
Answer» i im new here but will try to explain my PROBLEM the best i can.....Recently i tried to get into my bios settings on startup so i can choose to boot with 2x gfx cards (pci-e) setup, to my horror after pressing the said DEL key, i get a black screen with blinking CURSOR then my PC just switches off, this happens everytime, i have flashed the bios to the most uptodate one and it still does it, i have also tried taking all components out of tower and trying to get in with nothing installed...still the same, i have taken out and replaced, memory, HD, the lot, it happens eveytime, i have even taken the battery out for about 30mins and it still does it....so my Q is has ANYONE else suffered from this? or if my mobo or bios is damaged surly i would have lots of beeping or errors when i switch my pc on. :-? :-? :-? And you flashed the BIOS because...... surely a moderator would have been able to read it properly?!? i quite simply state that I CANNOT GET INTO BIOS, as it shuts my pc down when it should display blue screen, and i flashed because i thought upgrading to current version might help, MUCH like taking components out and trying step by step...which i have done.... but it didnt much like your post....You can remove the CMOS battery for a few seconds. That will do it. You may have created a door stop. Quote but it didnt much like your post.... I still don't understand what this means. |
