|
Answer» Hi,
I shouldn't need a driver because it isn't a new monitor - it's been on here for years...?When you switched monitors. . .did the black border monitor have a border on the other computer? What operating system have you got? and have though the monitor drivers may need to be updated! Quote I shouldn't need a driver because it isn't a new monitor - it's been on here for years...? I was refering to videocard drivers. But you should install monitor drivers as well, if you can locate these and if Windows does not auto install them.when I switched monitors, the black border was there again, but smaller. When I use this second monitor on my other computer, there is no border at all. I have windows 98. The original monitor was working fine until a few days ago. Nothing changed in terms of the drivers.... And I just developed a new problem! When I try to set a new resolution, the screen goes totally black. I had to RESTART in safe MODE and restore defaults. This pushed some of my desktop icons half off the page... HELP.one last thing... it seems that something has changed in my internet settings - they went back to default from years ago. how do I get back my most recent connections? (e.g., when I click on internet explorer it PROMPTS me for dial up, but I have cable. and the cable SETTING is now erased completely)You might be using resolutions that the monitor does not support. When a monitor its resolution has been changed, it is possible that you have to use the monitor controls to re-adjust the screen and eliminate the black border. What operating system is used>>make model of pc/and monitor....... |
