Solve : Blank Media? |
|
Answer» I was looking to buy a DVD/CD BURNER and for Christmas a friend of MINE bought me DISKS their Memorex DVD-R 16X I know the - means I cant write over the CD. I was wondering if the disks you buy has to match the media you buy. I mean do I have to buy a Memorex burner to get theses disks to burn DVD's and does the 16X have something to do with the burner I have to buy?Quote do I have to buy a Memorex burnerNo. DVD-R can be burned in both DVD-R, and DVD+R drives. 16x is a burning speed (most popular, I guess).well I put it in my SONY Vaio burner at my friends house it wont even read the disk its a 2002 tho.Is it DVD burner?I wouldn't base my selection of a DVD burner on the blanks i have... Newegg has a dual layer DVD burner for 40 bucks shipped. Lite-On. I recommend it. As far as blank media is concerned, whenever i buy/test a new burner i borrow/buy one blank from everyone i know covering most BRAND names and some generics... I then do a test burn with all formats; a music file; a video clip; and a large DATA file. This way i know which ones that burner likes the most. |
