Answer» I have just been given a PC that has been totally wiped. When I TURN it on it says "operating SYSTEM not found". Erm where do I get an operating system disc?Go to your local COMPUTER store. If your computer can handle it, go buy Windpws XP Home Edition the FULL CD. It'll cost almost $200.
FlameI was looking for a cheaper alternative :-?You could pick up an old copy of Windows 98 on eBay for buttons. Or download a Linux distribution for free.Right I have Windows 98, 2000 and XP on disc. I don't know what to do with them to get the PC runningPut one in the CD drive, and restart the computer. When it asks, boot from the CD.
