I've just reinstalled Windows 7 Ultimate to my Aspire 5542-5573, AMD Turion II Ultra, 4 GB/320 GB with Blu ray Disc drive; EVERY thing is ok but now it doesn't play Blu ray Disk, I updated Acer Arcade Deluxe in order to fix it, with no RESULTS. All other type of CD & DVD play ok.
Is there any trick or SW to GET BACK this funcionality?
By the way if I've seen 50 Blu ray DVD with it is a lot.The suggestion i am about to give for the problem may NOT be specific to your hardware. However it contains what i believe are the ELEMENTS to be addressed in order to return the Blu ray component of the optical drive back to service. In the link below scroll down to the reply by "Leon 2006" dated 02/03/2010 as i believe that to be pertinent to your situation. Basically it amounts to the fact that when you reinstalled the O/S specific drivers/filmware was NOT reinstalled that is required by the Blu ray component.
