Solve : BMW GINA Concept Car? |
|
Answer» Check out this video. Bangle says that, in a decade's time or so, such flexibility could reach production vehicles,If we still use cars. One of a kind concept car...it's headed straight to the BMW museum. Pretty sharp though...I wonder what it would take to fit my car with one of those skins....Take a knife to it... I am willing to bet it will suddenly be more expensive to repair than a knife to a metal painted car. all you need is a SEWING machine Very cool concept and would be a great way to save on gas, SINCE a lot of the WEIGHT is in the car body. My only concern would be weather. I live in Utah and there is plenty of snow and rain here. Rain I could see it probably doing ok in but get heavy loads of snow on cloth and I don't know how well it would do.Well, it's a concept...someone asked, "What if...? and everyone said, "Yeah!...and off they went...think of all the feature that are standard on today's cars, when they used to be options, or didn't exist at all. I mean, I know you all know this, I'm just reminding everyone that concepts go through many phases and changes, sometimes. What happens if you crash into one of these? My dads car is made of just.. .metal... one of those small princy fibergrlass cars went right in front of us and we crashed into the SIDE, boy, that thing was done for. My dads car was just fine, one bumper out of place, barely any paint off it. (Everyone was fine) Well, a lot of Saturn MODELS have plastic panels over a metal skeleton. I doubt the car will hit the street as is, but it'll be interesting to see where it leads. |
