Answer» I took my laptop into my office because I was syncing a large amount of files in Google Drive and it was taking forever on my WiFi at home and my boss suggested I plug into to the office internet with an ethernet cord to make it faster. I have an HP Spectre 360 Convertible and it does not have an ethernet port so my boss had bought a converter (USB-C to ethernet) for me a while back on Amazon to use whenever I went into the office and this was the first TIME I had ever used it. I took the ethernet cord that was plugged into another device and plugged it into the converter and turned my computer on and got a blue SCREEN with an error message that had a frowny face (I don’t remember what it said) and then the 3F0 Boot device not found error. I thought maybe I should go have plugged it in before turning it on, so I turned it off, unplugged it snd restarted it and it was working fine, so I plugged it back in and saw that I was connected to the internet and after about 30 SECONDS to a minute, the blue screen again and then black. Now I just get the black screen and it won’t reboot. I have never had one issue with this laptop ever. It’s less than 3 years old and I can’t help but think plugging it in caused this. Is that possible? I see no other explanation and it’s too big of a coincidence for it not to be connected. I’ve tried all of the fixes I found online and nothing works. The Ethernet cord I used came from a box that had another ethernet cord going into it. I could go back and see exactly what the box is if that would help. Thanks in advance for any info you can provide!!!🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻That sounds like there may be a bad connection with the boot drive or that it failed in a catastrophic manor. What type of storage device does it use (SSD, HDD, etc)? |
