Solve : Boot management?

Answer»

I have a gateway E series P$ computer running Windows XP Home Edition. I have two hard drives (C & E). What must I do when the computer boots to have it ask me which hard DRIVE do I want to boot up?Depends if you have an OPERATING system on both drives...EXACTLY, it depends on which of them has the Os on it. It's usually C from my experience. All other letters are used for slaves or extra cd/dvd drives and what not.I THINK it has something to do with the Boot.INI file on the "C" drive. Yes it does, but unless an OS is on the second drive, It'll be pointless.

I don't know if, by adding another line into this file, for the second drive, it will show you the selection screen if it can't find an OS on the second...? Quote from: GX44 on November 13, 2007, 02:47:38 AM

It don't think it will show the selection screen if you don't have an OS on the second HDD.
