|
Answer» It wasnt that. I TRIED a different cable but they both dont work. Quote from: Sagg1y on October 03, 2009, 11:17:45 AM Ok this is where i stand now, i have narrowed it down to a hard drive problem, i can put my windows xp cd in the disk drive and boot into that, that is when it shows that there is no hard drive disk. I know all the cables for the disk are working and the drive itself is running whats up?You said this before. Quote from: Sagg1y on October 04, 2009, 05:10:49 PM It wasnt that. I tried a different cable but they both dont work. What would you like us to tell you now?Well I dont know if this is helpful at all but on both the computers i tried my drive in they both had power and LOADING or use leds. When they booted up without my drive or with a different working drive only the power led stayed consistantly on and the loading or use led flickered when the drive was being acessed.... But when i put my not working drive in the computers and booted the loading led stayed blue or (other computer) RED consistantly.Quote from: Sagg1y on October 04, 2009, 05:50:33 PM .... But when i put my not working drive in the computers and booted the loading led stayed blue or (other computer) red consistantly. That means hard drive is no longer functional.Get a a new drive for $80 or less.
