Solve : Boot Screen Font?

Answer»

My AMI BIOS VGA white on black boot screen font is so large that the left edge is not visible. Is there a BIOS setting I should look for to change it? There are no BIOS settings for this.  The monitor has adjustments for this, hit the "Pause" button on the keyboard to halt the cpu, ADJUST the monitor, then hit Return to CONTINUE the boot process."Mikey likes it" ... Funny - the things that never occurred to me. I knew 'Pause' & I knew the monitor 'Auto Adjust' button, but didn't guess that it could adjust differently in the DOS Boot screen than in the GUI ! How does that work ? I'm learning, with difficulty, to ACCEPT the things that work, even when I don't understand them.

Thank you.Monitors are able to auto-synchronize the image they are presented.  The desktop image resolution doesn't arrive until Windows is mostly through loading. And monitor memory can distinguish TWO types of write - BIOS & GUI ?BIOS screen is 80x25 (80 COLUMN by 25 lines), text screen.  Windows is a graphics (pixel) display.
