Solve : Booting from USB hard drive? |
|
Answer» I am interested in INSTALLING Linux onto an external USB hard DRIVE so I can run two different operating systems. However, I have HEARD that the computer has to be USB bootable, and I don't know if my computer is "USB bootable" or not. Does anyone know how I can find out?Yes find out which MBoard you have by DLoading and running Everest Home and CHECK the MBoards website for specs...Okay, I did that but all that it tells me is that it's a Dell Dimension 8250. I looked at documentation for the computer and I can't find anything that talks about WHETHER or not it is USB bootable. I'm not sure where else to look. How about the support forum at www.dell.com?I've been using Everest Home for years now and it tells me alot more than i have an Alienware 7550A... |
