Answer» Hello,
We RECENTLY acquired a Buffalo LS-CHL NAS for our buisiness. I went through all the SETUP and everything and got to the admin menu in the browser interface and was prompted to a firmware update available. I started the update and have now been sitting at the update screen for 2 days now with no progress evident. I'm not really sure what to do from here and would appreciate any help. Thanks!I am not WELL VERSED with NASes... but I'll try to help. Evidently it is not advisable to turn it off in the middle of an update. However, you have been waiting for 2 days... try calling Buffalo customer support. If for some reason you wish to repair it by yourself I would just cut power to it. If it won't reboot after cutting power to it, you could disassemble it and take the hard drive out. From a few schematics online the LS-CHL v2 uses a CONVENTIONAL SATA hard drive, more precisely the WD Caviar Green WD10EADS 7200RPM, which you can then plug directly into your computer or plug into an external enclosure to recover your files. Here's the Read Me 1st...
