Solve : Built PC, no sound?

Answer»

I just built a COMPUTER.  When I got everything loaded up, I'm not getting any sound through the speakers.  The sound card is integrated onto the motherboard which you can see here:

The drivers for the sound card are updated.  In Windows, the Mixer shows that sound is being played so I don't think it's a software issue.

The speakers give feedback when you touch the 1/8" tip to your finger or another surface so I know the speakers are working.

I have plugged the speakers into the AUDIO port in the back of the computer, and I also tried to plug them into the headphone port in the front of the computer.  It can't be that one of the ports is fried or one of them would work.

I'm at a loss at this point.  Any ideas?Oddly enough, I just tried a third-party driver which fixed the PROBLEM.  Never mind.  Quote from: spum on MARCH 20, 2011, 09:11:53 AM
