I'm trying to burn a movie to a DVD through the Sonic MyDVD Plus and when I go to add the file I GET this error message: Could not make a thumbnail. Make sure you have the appropriate decoder installed. -47010

I have tried to save the file as another .avi file but that didn't work (which it is already in .avi format). I am stumped, any help in this MATTER would be appreciated. ThanksWhich operating system are you using? I know this questions sounds silly, but you never know... YOu have a DVD Burner, right?

FlameI'm using Windows XP and yes I have a multi-drive.I'm guessing you've burned before? When did the program stop burning?

FlameI've never burned a DVD before. I just d/led a movie and WANTED to burn it to DVD. I did d/l a codec because at first it wouldn't play on my WMP, but after I did that it played fine.Ok. Try searching for any product updates for Sonic. Also try Windows Updates to see if your burner needs an update.

FlameThere is no updates for Sonic, it only lets you upgrade to a newer version and this computer is only a couple of months old. There are also no Windows updates that pertain to this. Before I tried, I downloaded the XviD in order for WMP to play the movie. Could that be conflicting with it?I'm not sure :-/ I'm running out of ideas here...
