Solve : Buying a replacement harddrive?

I want to buy a replacement HDD, though I dont know how to check compatability... Basically, I know that my COMPUTER has this:


I have no idea how to type that out, or how to search for it. Is there a term that defines what I have(see above pic)?

Im sure there would be some kind of compatability issue with more new HDDs, so Im trying to avoid that issue I'll be glad to hear any assistance from anyone!

-NavilusThe smaller white one with 4 connectors is called a Molex plug...it supplies the power to HARD drives, CD Rom drives etc.

The bottom example is an IDE CABLE...basically carries the data from the devices mentioned above to the Motherboard for processing.Thank you -- buying an IDE HD would be fitting then! I hope!... Yes, and they are relatively easy to install and prepare for use so let us know when it's time and we'll walk you your FIRST SURGERY...
