i upgraded to win 7 and i cannot get the camera upload to the pc to work

i found the camera prog; in the old hard drive but it will not open

the camera DISC will not load to pc

i tried to find " run " to run the disc but cannot find it

i'm lost , i think i'll have a lay down  What happens when you plug the camera into the USB port now? Does anything appear above the task bar indicating "new hardware found"? truenorthyes , but its in hidden icons i CHECKED before i unpluged itHarry, This is a real stab in the DARK--doing extensive research on your behalf (had to go many google pages deep) before i came across a similar problem that DID result in a cure. I would suggest you have a look at this and see if it can help you.

under View, click on Show Hidden Devices. Expand Universal Serial Bus
Controllers. If any of the entries are shown in gray, right click on
each and Uninstall it. That's it. I didn't have to reboot for the front
ports to start working."
