I don't think External Hard Disks take up any space, and you can certainly find a way to transfer files over. FlameIf you transfer files you can run into problems because Windows will STILL be looking for them on the C drive (the internal one). You may have to reload the programs again, specifying the external drive. Data files, on the other hand, are no problem.
