Answer» Hello All, I currently have an HP Pavilion dv6-6c35dx (Website) with an AMD A8-3520M APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics and 6GB of RAM. It's a fairly new laptop, I got it in May of this year. Recently I've noticed that some games run slower, and I've been LOOKING to upgrade some PARTS to try to solve this issue. I ran some TESTS and it appears that the limiting factor is my CPU, as it runs consistently at 100% while playing.
My QUESTION is: Is it possible to upgrade my laptop's CPU? And if yes, do you have any recommendations?
HP Tech Support told me that it's not possible, although the Service manual for my laptop gives instructions on how to CHANGE the CPU.
Thanks. Changing the CPU does not mean upgrading the CPU. HP Tech Support is correct.
