Solve : can i use 2 routers?? |
|
Answer» im in my bedroom on a laptop which is on a network already thru an adsl router. I also have a ps2 i would like to use online aswel as the laptop but only have the one ethernet wire comming into this room. so could i just get a another cheap router so i can use both at the same time, i didnt know if this is possible, thanxYes, it's possible to connect a router to a router. Here's some info from D-Link about doing this: http://support.dlink.com/supportfaq/DisplayTemplate.aspx?TemplateId=33583. This info CAME from a search on D-Link's site under router model DI-604 (which I used to have); I believe the PROCEDURE applies to other MODELS but you may want to go to the manufacturer's website and verify this. You actually NEED an ethernet hub, not a router. The good news is hubs are TWO a penny.ok, this will allow me to do both at the same time?? iv seen one or 2 on ebay. am i allowd to post links??Sure why not?would this allow me to use both the ps2 and laptop online at the same time? or would it only do one at a time? |
