Solve : can i use s-video from my laptop?

Answer»

hi, on my lappy i have an s-video out port which i want to use for my analog tv. my analog tv doesnt have an svideo in but i have a scart extender which allows s-video to be connected! (input)

but i cant get it to work! nothing is COMING up on the tv what so ever. is their a setting or something i need to change for it to work? i got windows XP and a SiS661 graphics card. thanxDoes the SCART extended have an in/out switch? Have you tried both settings? Have you tried manually setting your TV to read from the SCART input? Have you successfully connected anything to your laptop's S-video socket so far?i got it working but the quality on the tv is reallllllllyy bad. also to fit it on the tv properly i had to change the laptop dispay settings to 800x600. i wanted to be able to watch films, PLAY games on the tv from my laptop but the display is horrible, anything i can do to improve it?? iv updated the graphics driver, played about with all the driver settings but cant seem to improve it.Unless you get some kind of TV out USB/PCMCIA adapter I don't think you're going to be able to do much better than that, I'm afraid. What is the problem with it? Are images distorted? Too dark?

Flamethe colour is a bit dodgy, and it isnt sharp enough. this font im typing in now is unreadableYou're going to need to find a resolution that will fit your TV SCREEN. Have you tried using different ones?
