Answer» ive asked so many PEOPLE and ive yet to get a straight answer its insane! Is a Intel Pentium Duo 2.6ghz for a DESKTOP computer a duel-core processor? and if so is it a good processor? please can someone answer this for meMy SUGGESTION is to goto www.apple.com and click on the new Intel Macs. Then find the section about the Intel Duo, it explains quite a bit about it. For the quick answer, I don't believe the Duo is dual-core processor at all. It has 'smart cache' that makes it use its MEMORY more efficiently than other processors. You should really read the review, it has PLENTY of information that I've read and forgotten. I wouldn't get one of my desktop PC though. It's new technology, and I'd rather give it more time to get the bugs worked out of it all. |
