Answer» DriveDrive TypeFile SystemTotal SizeUsed SpaceFree Space% FreeVolume Serial I did some checking within my system;I had uploaded a copy of Adobe Photoshop that a friend had downloaded I was going on the info provided... J: (Photoshop CS2)Optical DriveCDFS363 MB363 MB0 KB0 %46F1-36A0 Ok, that looks like a mounted ISO. You need to UNMOUNT this virtual drive through whatever program it was mounted with. Do you know what your friend used to mount it?No,but I can sure hunt him down to find out,if this will fix this mess. No prob,Patio....You're PROBABLY right in your assessment,if you mean what I think you mean. Let me see what I can find out and do,and I'll let you know...Thanks,guys...CNReddQuote Do you know what your friend used to mount it?Quote he siad it was a "torrent" and yes,I had to install ISO to installCheck your computer, if you have something like PowerISO, or MagicISO installed. It was PowerISO,and I was able to unmount it.I am going to search through and see if anymore files/folders still exist and delete them and reboot. While I am at it,does any of this info help me/us? CNReddMe,again! I bit the bullet,so to speak, and bought a new CD/DVD drive by Lite-On (I know it's cheap, but it IS Christmas time!) Simple hook in,read the blank CD,and I'm off and burning,no problems.Or so I thought.Tonight,I went to burn a DVD.Movie I had downloaded last week and had already burned once.Well, after I confirm a good burn,I usually dump the movie to keep my memory open, and if I want/need another copy,I use 1CLICK DVD PRO to copy.I bought this program earlier this year and have had no problems.Tonight,it isn't reading the DVD as a valid disc.It plays fine in my stand alone DVD player, but will not even PLAY in MEDIA PLAYER.HELP!?!....AGAIN!?!?! I left the box the new drive came in with my father-in-law,so he could take it and buy one for himself,so I don't have ACCESS ot it tonight.Any thoughts?Guess I posted at a bad time....Any thoughts appreciated...Thanks and Merry Ho-Ho!Merry Christmas to you as well... Let's see if we can GET you outta this mess. First off even though priced very competitively i have never had issues with Lite-On drives so for now we'll assume the drive is fine. Some questions and suggestions though... What program are you burning with ? ? What type of DVD is this ? ? Factory ? a Copy ? ? etc... DLoad and install CDBurnerXPro....FREE and try with that. Also borrow a blank DVD from everyone you know of different makes...some burners believe it or not are finiky about which blanks they prefer... Try those and stop back with the info requested. I almost forgot...a burner should be jumpered as master and connected to the end connector of the IDE cable. For now dis-connect any other drives on that channel unless it is your main hard drive.... |
