Solve : can't boot from floppy?

Answer»

I bought a used PIII system that has no CD-ROM drive and tried to install a NEW OS via USB.  I found that the motherboard does not support booting from USB so I made floppy boot DISKS for the Windows XP installation.

But now, for some reason, I can't get the computer to boot from the floppy, it keeps trying to continue with the first installation via USB (but gives an error because it's an invalid boot drive).

I've indicated in the CMOS to boot from A:, but it just seems to ignore that.  Any ideas on how to fix this?

THANKS,

PesoHave you checked to see that the floppy is INSTALLED correctly and working?

Do you have another floppy drive you can use?
