What are you trying to do, what operating system, anything else that you can think of to help us to help you.Im planing to install a windows XP to this computer, but when i go to the bios screen the sata hard disk is not detect. so i replaced the sata hard disk w/ a an ide hard disk and it run. I update the bios of the motherboard but still it does not detect any sata hardware.. Is your SATA drive connected to SATA port 1 or 2?I tried to connect it to all sata slot in the board but still the board can't detect the sata hard disk.Additionally, when you go to install XP, you'll need to press F6 very early in the install process to load SATA drivers so the Windows installation can proceed - XP does not have SATA hard drive support built in.Quote from: daryllsilorio on September 22, 2008, 10:44:10 PM

According to your motherboard instructions, the BOOT drive must be connected to SATA port 1 or 2.

TRY a new data and power cable to the drive.
