Answer» I have a COMPAQ Presario 4505 from around 1996 with a new hard drive. I have looked at the help on this site, but nothing works. This is my problem: when I installed Windows 98 SE on my computer, when it was checking my hard drive, it found several bad sectors on my hard drive that I might need to reformat on BIOS. I have gotten to BIOS, but I don't know how to do what I need. Also, because I have not been able to install anything and have it work, I checked my hard drive space and my computer SAYS I have a 501 gigabyte hard drive! There is a PCI card you can buy cheap to OVERCOME this. It was new when I got it a few months ago, and I don't know how to find the maker of my hard drive. Can I get help for that?
