Answer» Hoping someone can help. I have set the old drive up as slave and this is recognised by vista disk management. However, it has no drive letter and is not recognised by my computer so I can't ACCESS any of the files. The only action I can access is delete volume. I REALLY need to access some of the PROGRAMMES and files from the old hd. Can ANYONE help? PeterForst make sure the drive is jumpered as a slave drive. Next in Disk Management right clik the drive and select Properties and REPORT back what it says about the drive. You can assign it a drive letter...one not likely to be used for the time being and then Travel Here and follow the instructions... Let us Know.
