Solve : can you connect your computer to your TV?? |
|
Answer» I'm wondering about this... NetFlix doesn't have everything I want to watch "instantly" so I've downloaded some old movies and stuff from torrents but would rather watch them on my TV's larger screen - if possible. I already tried burning the stuff to DVD-R DISCS (with both DVD Flick and one other program) but I guess my DVD player can't play home-made discs and I don't want to buy a new one. I've downloaded some old movies and stuff from torrents Using torrents like that is piracy. Quote from: haus_kat on October 10, 2011, 11:34:20 PM My laptop is new (a few months old) but the TV is very old (from the mid-90's). It has those red/white/yellow holes in the back to connect stuff. The computer has HDMI and the VGA port and microphone jack. Would this possibly be as simple as buying some connector cord from Radio Shack or something? I simply want what's on the computer's screen to show up on the TV (like plugging in an external monitor - though a really big one lol) I bought this for my brother and he loves it. He has an old (but huge) tube tv that only has RCA (Red yellow white) inputs on the back. This is your basic VGA to RCA adapter, and it only cost 20$. http://www.amazon.com/PC-To-TV-Video-Converter/dp/B001CJOLBW Frugal shopper. Image from Amazon link. Way to go! at $20 it is a deal. At $30 it is over-priced. |
