Answer» I have a 40G HDD as a slave drive(IDE) and sometimes my PC cant read it.there's no DISPLAY or icon in "my COMPUTER".and it has a weird sound when i boot my PCDLoad and run the FREE DIAGNOSTICS from the drive manuf. site... Run the long Test...it will tell you if the drive is failing as it sounds like it is.thanks man You got it...
