Answer» I have dial-up internet service. When I connect to the internet, the "sound" of the computer DIALING and connecting comes through my speakers. That is not really a problem except, I cannot hear any other sounds. When I CHECK it with the audio setup wizard, it says " The sound device is CURRENTLY in use by ANOTHER audio application"....and I have no other audio application in use.try pressing ctl+alt+del to see if there are any other programs running, or disable the sound of your modem by going into its settings,it might be INTERFERING with the computer's sound.
