Solve : Cannot start up windows?

Answer»

I was fiddling around with the WIRELESS card in my dell dimension 5150, just to see what it was (i didn't know that it was a wireless card at first). I unconnected it for a second, then put it back in. when i TURNED on my computer, it came up with a screen TELLING me that windows couldn't start properly because of new hardware.
it gave me the options of running in safemode, last good configuration, or normally. I've tried all of the options, each one freezes my computer, i really don't know what is wrong since the card is where it was before, and i haven't CHANGED it out for anything. i use windows xp 32bit.try to check if theres dust or debree in the slotDid you take precautions well handling the Hardware? Like grounding yourself? Quote from: BluerjB on August 10, 2010, 09:32:18 PM

What I usually is reset the BIOS. to do that turn the computer off plug the power cord off then unplug the atx power plug and last take off the battery on the mother board. after bout 1 min put everything back together then it should have reset the BIOS.
