Answer» This is quite bizarre. My IX4000 canon printer start banding at consistent intervals down the page, created a large horizontal line of light TONE. After many wasted hours cleaning, purging, replacing the cartridges and finally the print head, there was no improvement. I tried the printer with my old laptop instead, and it printed just fine! I went back to the computer that I had been using the printer with for a long time, and the banding came back. This week I've bought a brand new high-spec PC, and tried printing using the same USB CABLE and driver, and once more the banding is there. Put it back on the laptop and it prints fine. I can't for the life of me WORK out what is HAPPENING! I'd really, really appreciate any assistance somebody might be able to give, as it's not PRACTICAL for me to print from the laptop. I also own an canon IP4000 which prints fine from my new computer.
