Solve : CANT CONNECT OLD PRINTER(PARALLEL TO USB CONVERTER) IN WINDOWS 7? |
|
Answer» I JUST BOUGHT A NEW COMPUTER 3 DAYS AGO THAT HAS WINDOWS 7 AND NO PARALLEL PORTS TO CONNECT MY HP LASERJET 4100N, SO I BOUGHT A PARALLEL TO USB CABLE. I HAVE ALL OF THE SOFTWARE FROM THE CABLE AND PRINTER SAVED ON THE HARDDRIVE BUT IT STILL DOESNT SEEM TO WORK. COULD SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME AND LET ME KNOW WHAT I AM DOING INCORRECTLY Secondly please don't shout at us. It will not get you better or faster support. He means turn off the CAPS LOCK, in case you didn't UNDERSTAND what he meant. Writing in All Caps is Like Shouting. I don't know what the track record is for those parallel to USB adapters; someone else may have a comment on that. I think I'd go this ROUTE: Rosewill 2 port Parallel (SPP/PS2/EPP/ECP) Universal PCI card Model RC-304 - Retail . This would add a Parallel port to your computer. But, a Parallel Universal PCI card costs a good bit less than a router. If he foresees a need for a router, then, yes, I agree that would be the way to go with this. I'm betting it's a laptop. |
